Cellulaze is a treatment for cellulite that attacks the structural problem beneath the skin, instead of just the surface, like creams and scrubs do. Cellulaze is a minimally invasive, laser-assisted procedure that levels out bumps of fat, treats dimples and stimulates collagen production for a smoother look. Most anti-cellulite treatments focus on the cellulite superficially, only targeting the surface of the skin. Cellulaze is the only procedure that treats the fiborous bands beneath the skin that hold pockets of fat. It delivers longer-lasting results after only one short treatment. Cellulaze delivers best results for women who are not significantly overweight but have mild to moderate cellulite on their thighs.
Benefits Of Cellulaze:
- Minimally invasive procedure
- Procedure only takes 1-2 hours
- Levels out bumps of fat and treats dimples
- Stimulates collagen production for a smoother look
- Fast recovery time, normally 1-2 days
- Results continue to improve over next 3-12 months
Dr. Menkes will mark the areas of cellulite to be treated with a marker. A couple of small incisions will be made, about the size of the tip of a pen. Local anesthesia or numbing solution is used (you'll be awake during the procedure). The Cellulaze laser fiber is threaded through a very small tube (or cannula) and inserted into the incision site. Once inside, the laser liquifies the fat and it is gently pressed out. The procedure usually takes 1-1.5 hours. Because the area is numbed with local anesthesia, there is minimal discomfort during the procedure. You may feel a light pressure, but it is a mild sensation.
After your Cellulaze procedure, you may have some bruising and discomfort, and small amounts of fluid may leak from the incision sites. We may ask you to wear a compression garment. Cellulaze is FDA approved to treat cellulite.
You'll be able to go back to your normal activities after a day or two and resume more strenuous exercise after 1-2 weeks. There may be small amounts of fluid leaking from the incision sites, but this is normal and simply apply clean bandages until it stops. You may also have some bruising and doscomfort in your thighs. This should subside within 1-2 days. You will see results improve over the 3-12 months. One treatment typically last 1 year or more.
